Harriet Beecher Stowe Garden

Please visit the Harriet Beecher Stowe Garden on your next visit to the Museum.  The three raised beds feature crops grown in Mandarin in the 19th Century. Some
of the crops were mentioned in Harriet Beecher Stowe's Palmetto Leaves in
the chapter entitled "Our Experience in Crops." The kitchen garden is maintained
with the help of the Duval County Extension Service. Excess food will be donated to
the Mandarin Food Bank.
